VertiGIS has once again successfully passed the ISO 27001 audit. This certification underscores VertiGIS’ commitment to the highest standards of information security and strengthens customer confidence in its cloud-based solutions.

As part of this strategy, VertiGIS is running its new VertiGIS Neo Suite in production, worldwide on Microsoft Azure. To ensure maximum flexibility for customers, VertiGIS also offers a hybrid-cloud model, combining the operation of VertiGIS SaaS infrastructure with customer-managed data storage.

VertiGIS Neo embodies the company’s vision for the future of industry-focused spatial solutions – a forward-looking approach to how organizations can solve business challenges in an increasingly AI-driven world. This vision is based on three core principles:

  • Deep vertical market specialization of its software solutions
  • A cloud-first strategy leveraging Microsoft Azure as the platform
  • Innovative use of artificial intelligence (AI)

More than 25 customers are already successfully operating their entire spatial application infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform managed by VertiGIS, benefiting from scalability, security, and innovation.

“The successful ISO 27001 certification is a significant milestone for our cloud strategy,” says Christoph Ihnenfeld, VP Global IT at VertiGIS. “It assures our customers that their data is safe with us—whether they choose multi-tenant SaaS or private-cloud managed services.”

While Microsoft Azure serves as the exclusive cloud platform for VertiGIS Neo, VertiGIS also provides additional options for its VertiGIS LM (Land Management) products. Customers can choose the Open Telekom Cloud (OTC) from T-Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom – a platform that places a strong emphasis on European data sovereignty. Three major German customers, including Berlin, Bremen, and Hamburg, are already leveraging this option.

All VertiGIS cloud environments employ state-of-the-art security mechanisms such as private endpoints, data encryption, and web application firewalls (WAF). Automated pipelines ensure efficient provisioning and updates—including databases, web apps, and certificates.

To guarantee high availability, VertiGIS utilizes native cloud services wherever possible, such as App Services, Azure Managed Databases, and Application Gateways. This approach ensures highest availability, supported by continuous monitoring and redundant infrastructure components.

With its powerful technology, flexible deployment models, and certified security, VertiGIS provides a future-ready platform for modern geoinformation and infrastructure management solutions.
